The EUROSONICcut system

Ultrasonic cutting system

Cutting systems

Ultrasonic technology is used for cutting a wide range of materials in an increasing number of areas such as foods, the automotive industry, aviation, chemicals, medical technology and household goods production, on account of its structural and economic advantages.

Functional principle

The EUROSONICcut system consists of an ultrasonic generator and cutting unit. Electronic oscillations produced by the generator are converted into mechanical oscillations by an ultrasonic converter. These are then transmitted to the object via a transformation unit (booster) and a cutting sonotrode made for the purpose. In In a tiny fraction of a second, ultrasonic oscillations produce a smooth, clean cut.

The EUROSONICcut system is available in standard frequencies of 20 kHz and 35 kHz. For special applications, and in conjunction with our application engineers, we can also supply you with other frequencies such as the newly developed 60 kHz system from EUROSONIC.

Key Features

  • Compact design
  • Long-lasting coated blade
  • Able to perform complex cutting duties
  • Replaceable blades/knives
  • Suitable also for robotic handling

AREAS OF USE

  • Fibres (e.g. carbon fibre)
  • Foods (e.g. cake, cheese, sausage)

CUT SEAL

When this system is used in the textile industry, modern fabrics are cut and welded (to prevent fraying) in one single process.
